DCH Auto Group owns and operates over 30 auto dealerships throughout the United States.

When the opportunity arose for DCH to compete to win a new Honda location that was being planned for Lemon Grove, CA, they hired Clark Marketing Solutions to create and help present the sales pitch to Honda Corporate.

While DCH faced stiff competition to win this opportunity, Clark Marketing Solutions was able to create and help them present the winning presentation. Honda Corporate was persuaded that DCH was the best candidate, and DCH opened their Honda of Lemon Grove store in 2008.

Nelson Honda El Monte

  1. In the first quarter of 2010, Nelson Honda in El Monte underwent a buy/sell deal,changing ownership, management and its DBA from the former name to Nelson Honda.
    Clark Marketing Solutions was tasked with handling the rename marketing, including creative development, production and media planning and buying duties for TV, radio, print and outdoor campaigns. Clark Marketing Solutions created a unique brand image for the dealership to set it apart from its former identity as well as its PMA competitors.
    TV quickly became the #1 medium consumers identified as to where they first learned about the dealership, and the data subsequently showed a 20% increase in that number in just a few months, proving that the creative was breaking through and sinking in.

The demographic profile of Nelson Honda’s ASA is largely Hispanic, with many areas above 65% Hispanic, and many of these areas represent populations that are Spanish language dominant.Despite this, the demographic profile of the dealership’s customer base was only 35% Hispanic in 2010. In 2011, the agency set out to rectify this, bringing the dealership’s
    customer profile closer in line to the demographic balance of their sales area.We negotiated a buy with KMEX-TV (Univision Los Angeles), with ½ hour Saturday infomercials. We then produced these infomercials on a monthly basis, which included shooting on location, hiring and directing a professional talent, writing, editing, graphics, etc.

After executing this strategy for just four months, Clark Marketing Solutions was able to shift the client’s customer profile from 35% Hispanic all the way up to 50% Hispanic.

Rancho Santa Margarita Honda

In the last quarter of 2009, Rancho Santa Margarita Honda underwent a buy/sell deal, changing ownership, management and its DBA from the former name to Rancho Santa Margarita Honda.

Clark Marketing Solutions was tasked with handling the rename marketing, including creative development, production, and media planning and buying duties for TV, radio, print, and Internet campaigns. Clark Marketing Solutions created a unique brand image for the dealership to set it apart from its former identity, as well as its PMA competitors.

This was a unique situation due to the fact that the former dealership entity had basically been defunct for almost 6 months, thus the buy/sell deal. With the agency’s assistance, Clark Marketing Solutions helped a “dead” dealership come back to life and get “back into the black” in just over 2 months.

Since then, Rancho Santa Margarita became the fastest growing Honda dealership in all of Southern California in 2011. See the TV spot we created to communicate that here.

Diamond Valley Honda

To help Diamond Valley Honda establish a stronger brand image and presence, Clark Marketing Solutions developed and produced a jingle and background music for the dealership. We then used that music and jingle in all of the dealership’s TV and radio creative executions. The tagline we created illustrates strength in simplicity: “Diamond Valley Honda… drive home HAPPY!”

Clark Marketing Solutions went on to earn two Communicator Awards for that original music and jingle. Furthermore, our client has mentioned—on several occasions—that customers speak of their children singing this jingle over and over. High praise indeed! Listen to the jingle here.

Roberto’s Very Mexican Food

Roberto’s Very Mexican Food comprises five fast casual Mexican food restaurants in San Diego County.

When Roberto’s opened their latest location in Mission Valley, they needed to increase awareness of, and traffic to, that new location. Roberto’s hired Clark Marketing Solutions to do just that. First, the agency was able to create a look as well as message points for the restaurant and apply these to attention catching signage and collateral. Next, the agency planned and executed several guerilla marketing campaigns to reach the prospects in closest proximity to the restaurant.

The second guerilla marketing campaign, which was centered around Cinco de Mayo and the restaurant’s one year anniversary, had the effect of driving up week over week sales by over 30%.

Needless to say, it was considered a success by the client.

Welby Construction Management

Welby Construction Management is a general contracting and construction management company.

Clark Marketing Solutions was first hired to create the company’s sales collateral. Welby Construction needed the materials ASAP for an event. The agency was able to research, write, produce, and then get approved and sent to print a top notch sales piece for the client—all within a few weeks time.

Later, Clark Marketing Solutions was asked to create a print campaign for the client. It was created, approved and delivered within a few days time. As soon as the publication hit the shelves, the client received so many phone inquiries, they had to consider increasing staffing to handle the new wave of business.
